Founded in 2001 by Miguel González-Ortiz, the Estampa brand and the Gonzalez family trace their roots back through over a century of agriculture in the Central Valley region, with the first vines planted in 2008. Today multiple generations of the extended family are involved in the winery and vineyards, extending their family’s legacy in the region.

Vineyards are managed sustainably with minimal irrigation and use of natural treatments to protect soil, water and bio-resources; and the winery is designed for minimal ecological impact with water recycling and solar power for electricity.

Bodega Estampa holds some 400 acres of drip-irrigated vineyards in 3 distinct terroirs within the Colcuagua- Palmilla, Paredones, and Marchigüe. Each has its own distinct soil profile and is planted to a different mix of varieties optimized to the site and soil.

The estate works with Cabernets Franc & Sauvignon, Carmenere, Malbec, Petit Verdot, and Syrah, producing a range of superb blends from 2, 3 and 4 varietals each.

The winery, built in 2001 to a design by Claudio Blanco, has won multiple architectural and cultural awards, and is a must-visit on the Colchagua wine trail.
