UNITED STATES
The United States now has commercial wineries in all 50 states. The industry is of course heavily concentrated along the Pacific coast, and Terroir Wines represents some of the best with classic California Chard, Pinot and Cabernet, to great Pinot Gris and Noir from Oregon, huge spicy blends from Washington's Red Mountain, and the highly regarded Carol Shelton line of Zinfandels and other interesting varieties.
